IIAS School of Management organised an Interactive Session for the Hotel Management Students addressed by professionals representing Courtyard By Marriott Siliguri. Executive Chef, Chef Prashant Suryavanshi and Training Executive, Mr. Johnny Alexander.
‘Courtyard by Marriott’ at Siliguri, is Marriott’s second hotel in West Bengal, the first in the eastern India and seventeenth in South Asia. Comprising of 130 rooms, the Siliguri property has modern meeting and conference facilities, and a variety of dining options.
The objective of the session was to sensitize the students of the 1st year Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management about their first industry experience which will begin from October 2020 as they would be undergoing their 22 weeks of Industrial Exposure Training with renowned Hospitality Brands across India and International boundaries.
Chef Suryavanshi and Mr Alexander shared valuable experiences and Industry ethics that would help the students bridge between Industry and Academia with emphasis on the correct ATTITUDE required for an individual to be a professional to suit and rise in the Hospitality Industry.
